This game is to be presented by the bridal party in front of all the guests to the brides-of course you can put your own spin on the letter and the household items you can find to hold up- the guests get a real kick out of this game:
"Dear Sarah, You are entering a new ERA. There will come a THYME in your marriage when you find "groom's name" is not always MR. CLEAN, but don't send out the S.O.S. because he might VANISH. "Groom's name" will always bring you CHEER and you will find him to be your white DOVE. When you are together you will find JOY, so remember your PLEDGE and give him your ALL. To "bride's name" and "groom's name" the Best of Luck & Good Fortune in the years to come. And may "groom's name" always be your HONEY.
Variation: This one is a letter utilizing mostly cleaning products and health products. This is to be presented by the bridal party to the bride in front of guests:
Dear "bride's name", It is only fair that we let (Bride's name) in on a little SECRET. (Groom's name) may be FANTASTIC but wait until (Bride's name) finds out that he is not MR. CLEAN. He'll expect her to be a DYNAMO in the kitchen and he thinks all women should MOP & GLOW. At night he'll wake you up at DAWN to SNUGGLE up close. We all AGREE that (Bride's name) and (Groom's name) will have a very happy LIFE together. Our wish for you is that your home be filled with JOY and you remain as happy as ever in the FUTURE.
I saw this game being played at a bridal shower but cannot remember the name but absolutely loved it-and would like to share it with you.
Before the bridal shower, someone close to the groom interviews him asking him questions about the bride to be and himself, while either video taping his responses or having him write his answers down on index cards. When I saw this game played it was done via video tape and it was hysterical to see and hear the groom to be responses. The bride to be of course has no idea that her hubby was participating in a game for her bridal shower. Some questions that were asked to the groom were: What is your (bride to be) middle name? Where was your first date? Where was your first kiss? Who initiated the first kiss? What do you think (bride to be) loves most about you? What is you favorite thing about (bride to be)? What is (bride to be) favorite food? What is (bride to be)'s favorite restaurant? (the questions can be whatever you would like) Then the interviewer asks the groom some questions about himself What is your middle name? What is your favorite food? What do you love most about (bride to be?)
At the bridal shower you sit the bride infront of everyone and tell her you have a surprise for her. You play the tape and let the groom (recorded) say hi ladies hi (bride to be). Then you tell bride your going to ask her questions and then play tape to see if answers match. You ask her-What is your middle name? She says Marie person plays tape and hubby to be gets asked the question and answers Marie. Person asks Bride to be 2nd question and then plays tape to see what groom responds. You keep asking questions to see how many correct answers the bride and groom have of each other.
